Job summary

Abingdon and Witney College is seeking an Apprenticeship Recruitment and Selection Coordinator to support the Business Development Team within the Employer Services Department. You will oversee candidate assessment, ensuring applicants are matched to vacancies and work with employers and administrators to deliver a smooth recruitment process.

Based largely in the field, you will coordinate applications, arrange interviews, and communicate effectively by phone and email.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 qualification (A Level, Diploma or equivalent).
• Level 2 or above in literacy, numeracy, and IT (or willingness to gain).
• Experience supporting individuals into employment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent organisational and administrative abilities.
• Flexible approach to working hours.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficient in word processing, databases, and spreadsheets.
• Willingness to learn new IT systems.
• Experience engaging with the public.
• Experience delivering workshops/presentations to 16-24-year-olds.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the application process for apprenticeship vacancies.
• Coordinate information, interview, and assessment sessions.
• Arrange interviews on behalf of employers and confirm applicant attendance.
• Promote apprenticeship vacancies internally and externally.
• Monitor candidate pool and support vacancy matching.
• Maintain accurate candidate database records.
• Proactively source candidates via social media and other channels.
• Signpost unsuccessful applicants to support or guidance.
