Group 1 Automotive is offering an Apprenticeship for a Vehicle Technician in Cambridge. You’ll start earning while you learn, gaining brand-aligned skills and qualifications as you grow with a supportive team.

The role involves servicing vehicles, carrying out checks, and learning from experienced technicians within a friendly, values-driven environment. Successful candidates will work toward completing the apprenticeship and fitting into a customer‑focused service team.

• GCSEs in Maths, English and Science.

• Servicing our vehicles and carrying out checks and maintenance per brand guidelines.
• Identify, repair and replace faulty components and parts.
• Liaise with Service Advisors about required repairs or work.
• Maintain repair and service records.
• Learn and demonstrate tidy work bays and surrounding area.
• Consider customer impact on any vehicle activity and stay customer‑centric.
• Meet the academic requirements of the apprenticeship and progress with the provider.

What you’ll do day to day

Servicing our vehicles – you’ll be carrying out checks and maintenance in accordance with brand guidelines.

• Identifying, repairing and replacing components and parts that are faults.
• Liaising with our Service Advisors about required repairs or vehicle work.
• Maintaining repair and service records.
• Learn and demonstrate work bay and surrounding area tidiness.
• To always consider the customer impact on any activity with the vehicle, demonstrating our customer-centric approach.
• To satisfy the academic requirements of the apprenticeship – engage with our provider and ensure course progress.
