Group 1 Automotive seeks an Apprentice Vehicle Technician at Volkswagen Southend to learn on-the-job while gaining qualifications. You’ll service, diagnose and repair vehicles, liaise with Service Advisors, and maintain records in a customer-focused environment. The role supports ongoing training and offers generous benefits.

You’ll be supported through the apprenticeship, with 33 days leave, pension, healthcare access, and learning opportunities across a large automotive group.

Responsabilidades

• Servicing vehicles and carrying out checks per brand guidelines.
• Identify, repair and replace faulty components.
• Liaise with Service Advisors about repairs needed.
• Maintain service and repair records.
• Keep the work bay tidy and safe.
• Consider customer impact on all vehicle work.
• Meet apprenticeship course requirements and progress with provider.

What you’ll do day to day

• Servicing our vehicles – you’ll be carrying out checks and maintenance in accordance with brand guidelines.
• Identifying, repairing and replacing components and parts that are faults.
• Liaising with our Service Advisors about required repairs or vehicle work.
• Maintaining repair and service records.
• Learn and demonstrate work bay and surrounding area tidiness.
• To always consider the customer impact on any activity with the vehicle, demonstrating our customer-centric approach.
• To satisfy the academic requirements of the apprenticeship – engage with our provider and ensure course progress.
