Group 1 Automotive is offering an Apprentice Vehicle Technician position at JLR Watford. You’ll learn on the job, earning while you train, with support to gain new qualifications in a fast-evolving automotive industry.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Servicing vehicles and carrying out checks per brand guidelines.
• Identify, repair and replace faulty components.
• Liaise with Service Advisors on repairs or work required.
• Maintain repair and service records.
• Keep work bay tidy and maintain safe, clean area.
• Consider customer impact on any vehicle activity and stay customer‑centric.
• Meet apprenticeship academic requirements and progress with provider.

What you’ll do day to day

• Servicing our vehicles – you’ll be carrying out checks and maintenance in accordance with brand guidelines.

• Identifying, repairing and replacing components and parts that are faults.
​
• Liaising with our Service Advisors about required repairs or vehicle work.
​
• Maintaining repair and service records.
​
• Learn and demonstrate work bay and surrounding area tidiness.
​
• To always consider the customer impact on any activity with the vehicle, demonstrating our customer‑centric approach.

• To satisfy the academic requirements of the apprenticeship – engage with our provider and ensure course progress.
