Job summary

Group 1 Automotive invites applications for an Apprentice Vehicle Technician – Toyota Wirral. You will learn by doing, earning as you train, and develop skills across servicing, diagnostics and customer-facing tasks in a busy dealership.

You’ll follow brand guidelines, build hands-on experience, and complete the required apprenticeship coursework with support from mentors and your provider. This entry-level role offers progression within Group 1 Automotive.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths, English and Science.
• Punctuality and reliable timekeeping.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet targets.
• Good teamwork and communication with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Servicing vehicles according to brand guidelines.
• Identifying, repairing and replacing faulty components.
• Liaising with Service Advisors on repairs.
• Maintaining service and repair records.
• Keep work bay and area tidy.
• Consider customer impact in all vehicle activities.
• Meet the academic requirements of the apprenticeship.

What you’ll do day to day

• Servicing our vehicles – you’ll be carrying out checks and maintenance in accordance with brand guidelines.
• Identifying, repairing and replacing components and parts that are faults.
• Liaising with our Service Advisors about required repairs or vehicle work.
• Maintaining repair and service records.
• Learn and demonstrate work bay and surrounding area tidiness.
• To always consider the customer impact on any activity with the vehicle, demonstrating our customer-centric approach.
• To satisfy the academic requirements of the apprenticeship – engage with our provider and ensure course progress.
