Job summary

Volvo Truck and Bus seeks enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Apprentice HGV Technicians in Leicester. The apprenticeship covers hands-on repair, service and maintenance of modern trucks, buses, and hybrids, with training delivered at Inspiro Heavy Vehicle Academy in Derby and workplace blocks.

You will complete 32 months across 18 blocks, with accommodation/travel costs covered by the employer and a dedicated Development Coach providing 1-2-1 guidance toward the Heavy Vehicle Service

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of mechanical systems and a desire to learn.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Strong communication skills and a team player mentality.

Responsibilities

• Assist with repairs following Volvo Standard Times using Volvo tools where appropriate.
• Assist in fault diagnosis and warranty procedures during repairs.
• Work with the parts team to ensure correct replacement parts are fitted to vehicles.
