Job summary

Bright is seeking an Application Technical Support Engineer in Belfast to bridge the gap between Customer Success and Engineering, handling technical issues, data interrogation, and internal tooling.

You will work closely with the Engineering team, debug problems, write SQL, and document known issues while contributing to AI-driven improvements.

This role offers hands-on problem solving, variety, and the chance to grow with a fast-moving software group serving UK and Ireland clients.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of professional experience in technical or application support.
• Proficient in SQL and able to write and interpret queries.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Clear communication of technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Right to live and work in the UK.
• Comfortable using AI tools to improve workflows.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical contact for Customer Success, translating between teams.
• Debug and reproduce customer issues to identify root causes.
• Write SQL to pull data and build internal/customer reports.
• Document known issues and fixes for the wider team.
• Build and maintain internal tooling (Retool) and support integrations.
• Enhance testing processes to catch issues earlier.
• Manage multiple tasks in parallel with effective prioritisation.
