Job summary

Bright Software Group is seeking an Application Technical Support Engineer to join the Development team in Leamington Spa. The role focuses on debugging customer issues, data interrogation with SQL, and building internal tooling to support Customer Success.

You will work closely with engineering and customer success, applying AI-enhanced workflows and maintaining clear documentation of issues and fixes. A proactive, collaborative mindset is essential for thriving in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Two+ years in a technical support, application support or similar hybrid technical role.
• Strong SQL skills with ability to write and interpret queries.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities; able to navigate ambiguity.
• Able to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Right to live and work in the UK.
• Familiarity with AI tools and interest in applying them to workflows.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical contact for Customer Success, translating between customer-facing and engineering teams.
• Debug and replicate customer-reported issues to identify root causes.
• Write SQL queries to extract data and build reports for internal and customer use.
• Document known issues, fixes, and workarounds for the wider team.
