Job summary

Cawood is expanding its Animal Health analytics capability and seeks a proactive Business Development Manager to identify and convert new opportunities within Sciantec and Sci-Tech services. You will build a strong pipeline, engage with animal health, nutrition, veterinary and pet food markets, and drive sustainable growth.

You’ll spend time in-market, engaging with customers and stakeholders, and collaborating with Commercial, Technical and Operations teams to turn needs into compelling

Qualifications

• Proven B2B business development experience in technical/science/services
• Strong track record of identifying, qualifying and converting opportunities
• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills with senior stakeholders
• Strong commercial judgement based on value and fit
• Data-driven and structured approach to pipeline management
• Collaborative across Commercial, Technical, Operations and Product teams

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver against a new business sales target and budget for Animal Health
• Identify, develop and win opportunities across target markets
• Build and maintain a strong, qualified pipeline to deliver sales growth
• Develop relationships through meetings, prospecting and events
• Understand customer needs and buying drivers to create value
• Qualify opportunities by strategic fit and likelihood of success
• Develop commercial proposals and move opportunities through the sales process
• Build relationships with senior decision-makers in prospective customer organisations
• Feedback customer/market insight to shape propositions and growth priorities
• Work with Operations, Laboratory, Product and Commercial teams to ensure delivery
