QED Legal Recruitment Limited is seeking a Compliance & Business Support Officer to join a law firm in Stoke-on-Trent, supporting AML, compliance and risk processes. Salary up to £35,000, office based, with scope to develop through the team as the firm grows.

You will handle client onboarding, CDD/KYC, AML risk assessments and file reviews from start to completion, ensuring GDPR compliant record-keeping and ongoing regulatory readiness.

Formación

• At least 1–2 years' experience in a law firm or legal services environment.
• Experience with client due diligence, AML and source of funds checks.
• Comfortable using legal case management systems and speaking with clients and colleagues.
• Knowledge of SRA requirements and file audits would be useful.

Responsabilidades

• Client onboarding, CDD and KYC checks, including electronic identity verification.
• AML risk assessments and source of funds and wealth checks.
• Liaising with clients and fee earners to obtain outstanding information.
• Reviewing files, identifying gaps and supporting internal compliance audits.
• Helping prepare for regulatory inspections and accreditation renewals.
• Managing file closures, record retention and secure archiving in line with GDPR.
• Maintaining compliance registers and helping improve processes across the firm.
