Job summary

TSR Legal in Cardiff is seeking a Compliance Executive to support the day-to-day operation of the firm’s compliance framework. You will work on client onboarding, AML checks, and regulatory requirements to ensure processes are followed and records are accurate.

The role requires attention to detail but also a people-focused approach, building relationships and communicating clearly across teams as part of a growing, modern legal business in Cardiff.

Qualifications

• Experience in a comparable compliance role, ideally in law or regulated environment.
• Good understanding of AML, client due diligence and onboarding.
• Dependable, organised and sensible in approach with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support client onboarding and ongoing AML, sanctions, client due diligence and source of funds checks.
• Maintain accurate compliance records, registers, trackers and documentation.
• Monitor compliance deadlines and follow up outstanding actions.
• Carry out routine compliance checks and file reviews.
• Support the Compliance Manager with the firm's policies, procedures and controls.
• Record and monitor breaches, incidents, complaints and other compliance matters.
• Assist with internal audits, regulatory reviews and SRA related requirements.
• Maintain compliance training records.
• Monitor regulatory developments and highlight important changes.
• Assist with compliance reports and management information.
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve compliance processes.
