Job summary

UK Event Medical Services (UKEMS) is seeking Qualified Ambulance Care Assistants to join the Patient Transport Team based in Sheffield. The role offers a typical 40-hour week with a zero-hours contract at start, requiring weekend and holiday availability, and includes training and development in Ambulance Care qualifications.

Qualifications

• No formal qualifications are necessary; training is provided.
• A full clean driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Drive ambulances and specialist vehicles.
• Provide reassurance, comfort and support to patients.
• Undertake patient and vehicle risk assessments.
• Operate mechanical and manual handling equipment for safe patient movement.
• Communicate with the control centre.
• Clean and restock vehicles.
• Accurate completion of reports and documentation.
