Job summary

UK Event Medical Services (UKEMS) in Preston seeks qualified Ambulance Care Assistants to join our Patient Transport Team. You will drive ambulances and support patients traveling from hospital or care settings, ensuring safe, compassionate transport.

We offer 40-hour weeks with 4-on/4-off or 5-on/3-off rotas, 8/10/12-hour shifts, 24/7 operations, and a final role on zero-hours initially. Opportunities to grow with a family-focused employer.

Qualifications

• Hold a recognised Ambulance Care Assistant qualification
• Relevant training and qualifications must be valid and in date

Responsibilities

• Drive ambulances / specialist vehicles
• Provide reassurance, comfort and support to patients
• Patient and vehicle risk assessments
• Mechanical and manual handling including safe movement of patients and use of tail lifts
• Communication with our control centre
• Cleaning and re-stocking of vehicles
• Accurate completion of reports/documentation
