EMED Group is seeking an Ambulance Care Assistant to join our Stoke-on-Trent team. The role involves transporting elderly, sick and vulnerable service users to medical appointments and between healthcare facilities, sometimes in two-person crews.

You must hold a valid UK manual driving licence and be physically fit for patient handling. A company-funded Enhanced DBS check is required. A comprehensive benefits package accompanies this role.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid UK manual driving licence (6 points maximum).
• Physically fit for patient handling and moving.
• Effective communicator with patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Transport elderly, sick and vulnerable service users to medical appointments and between healthcare facilities, in two-person crews or alone.
• Assist with lifting, securing and helping patients in and out of the ambulance.
• Hand over patients to appropriate staff on arrival at hospitals or care settings.
