It's been an exciting time at Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust as we continue our journey of “Being our Best”, and our mission to provide world-class patient care.

Due to internal moves and career progression opportunities within the Trust, we are now looking to recruit new Ambulance Care Assistant 2. As this is no ordinary role, we will be looking for extraordinary people to join one of our 6 week training programmes,

Main duties of the job

The Role

Ambulance Care Assistant 2 are often seen as entry level opportunities, with many Staff progressing into Emergency Medical Technician or even Paramedic roles. You will already have a real passion for patient care, together with excellent communication and people skills. You will also be a committed team player and relish a job where no two days are the same. Please see the enclosed job description and person specification for further information.

Qualifications
  • Level 2 Diploma including Essential/Key/Core Skills at Level 2 in Application of Number and Communication or 5 GCSEs at grade C or above including Mathematics/Numeracy, English/Welsh and combined Sciences or any single science.
Experience

  • Experience within the health or social care setting
Other
  • C1 classification on driving licence no more than 3 points and no convictions for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
