Job summary
Asda in Mansfield is seeking an Ambient Manager to lead the ambient department, ensuring top shop floor standards, availability and safe, legal operations for customers and colleagues. You will drive the shrink agenda and coach the team to improve routines and processes.
The role focuses on planning trading activity, delivering key metrics, and building a high-performing team with strong customer service and commercial mindset. 45 hours weekly, full-time, permanent.
Qualifications
- Experience as Team Leader or Supervisor in a retail environment.
- Operational knowledge on food or non-food departments.
- Knowledge of improving availability, reducing waste, and managing shrink.
- Experience developing teams and managing change through leadership and building resilience.
- Strong organisational skills and great customer service.
Responsibilities
- Lead the ambient team and drive the shrink agenda with clear actions.
- Plan and execute trading activity to achieve availability and KPI goals.
- Engage and coach the team to improve routines and processes.
- Ensure store selling agenda is met with on-time, in-left stock.
- Foster a culture of service, ownership and accountability.
