Job summary

ASDA is seeking an Ambient Manager in South Shields to oversee the Ambient department and ensure excellent shop-floor standards. You will drive availability, coach a team, and lead the shrink agenda while maintaining safety and legal compliance for customers and colleagues.

You’ll plan trading activity, deliver strong metrics, and develop your team, creating a culture of service with personality and accountability across the store.

Qualifications

• Experience as Team Leader or Supervisor in a retail environment.
• Operational knowledge on food or non-food departments.
• Knowledge of improving availability, reducing waste, and managing shrink.
• Experience developing teams and managing change through leadership.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute all trading activity on the shopfloor to improve availability.
• Lead and coach the Ambient team to improve routines and processes.
• Ensure products are available in aisles and on promotional end caps.
• Drive shrink agenda and store safety compliance.
