Job summary

Equal Teaching is seeking an ALN Teaching Assistant in Wales to support learners with Additional Learning Needs in a Further Education setting. The role involves 1:1 and small group support, adapting materials, and promoting an inclusive learning environment.

The position offers flexible hours with competitive daily rates up to £105, and opportunities for CPD and development within supportive schools.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people or adults with additional learning needs
• Patience, empathy and adaptability
• Good communication and teamwork
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to learners with ALN
• Assist lecturers/tutors in adapting learning materials for individual needs
• Help learners develop independence, confidence and study skills
• Monitor and record learner progress and liaise with staff
• Assist with personal care where required per care plans
• Support learners during practical sessions, work placements and enrichment activities
• Promote a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment
