Aspire People Limited is actively recruiting ALN Teaching Assistants to support Further Education Colleges and Post-16 provisions across South Wales. Roles start immediately, with flexible full-time and part-time hours and competitive pay between £16.11 and £25 per hour.

Join a dedicated team providing 1:1 and small-group support for learners with ALN, SEN and related needs, alongside lecturers to enable access to academic and vocational courses.

Qualifications

• Support learners with ALN, SEN, SEMH, and complex needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
• Collaborate with Lecturers to deliver inclusive learning across academic, vocational, and practical courses.
• Promote independence and confidence through targeted support and clear communication.
• Bring experience from education, youth work, care, or support roles with strong relationship-building skills.
• FE, college, post-16, or school experience is desirable; EWC registration or willingness to obtain is required.

Responsibilities

• Support learners with ALN, SEN, SEMH, and complex needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
• Work alongside Lecturers to deliver inclusive learning, helping students access academic, vocational, and practical courses while promoting independence and confidence.
• Use positive behaviour management and de-escalation strategies to create a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment.
• Bring experience from education, youth work, care, support work, or a similar background, with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Be patient, adaptable, and resilient. FE, college, post-16, or school experience is desirable, and EWC registration (or willingness to obtain) is required.
