Job summary

Uniserve in Feltham, London is seeking an experienced Airfreight Import Operator to manage the full import process from pre-alert to final delivery. You will liaise with customers, overseas agents and airlines to ensure accurate, compliant and profitable shipments.

The role calls for strong attention to detail, excellent organisation, and a proactive, customer-focused approach in a fast-paced environment. Training and career progression are supported through our Supply Chain Academy.

Qualifications

• Experience in airfreight import or freight forwarding.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end air import operations.
• Experience preparing and submitting customs declarations using CDS or similar systems.
• Good knowledge of UK customs regulations, import procedures and tariff classifications.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage airfreight import shipments from receipt of pre-alert to final delivery.
• Create and maintain accurate shipment records in the operating system.
• Monitor shipment progress and ensure SLAs are met.
• Liaise with overseas agents, airlines, handling agents, transport providers and customers.
• Prepare and submit customs declarations using approved systems.
