Job summary

Freightserve recruitment is seeking an Airfreight Operator in Windsor to coordinate end-to-end air cargo movements, including export/import, with a focus on compliance and timely client updates.

The role requires strong communication, experience in air freight forwarding, and the ability to manage bookings and documentation across UK networks. Permanent role with a salary of £35,000–£42,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in air freight operations.
• Experience with export/import air cargo processes.
• Knowledge of CDS/HMRC procedures and IATA guidelines.
• DG certificate or willingness to train.
• Familiarity with air waybills and freight documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage import and export air freight movements from origin to final UK delivery.
• Secure cargo allocations and negotiate rates with airlines and carriers.
• Provide clear updates to clients, overseas agents, and hauliers.
• Prepare and review HA/MAWB, invoices, packing lists, and Certificates of Origin.
• Maintain relationships with airlines, GHAs, and road transport partners.
• Audit invoices against tariffs and ensure compliance with regulations.
