Job summary

British Airways is seeking a Technical Engineer for the Predictive Maintenance Group (TSG) to develop and deliver predictive maintenance solutions across the fleet. The role emphasizes monitoring aircraft health data, validating prognostic alerts, and driving proactive maintenance actions to minimize disruption.

The engineer will work with multiple stakeholders, develop maintenance recommendations, and advance predictive algorithms and dashboards to enhance fleet reliability and operational

Qualifications

  • HNC / HND or equivalent in an Aerospace Engineering subject (essential)
  • Engineering degree or educational equivalent and demonstrable experience in Pt 21 or Pt M environment supporting Pt145 (desirable)
  • The ability to hold CAA approvals or BA company approvals (desirable)
  • Recognised Aircraft Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent industry experience (desirable)

Responsibilities

  • Monitor aircraft health systems, predictive maintenance platforms, and data to identify defects and risks.
  • Analyse predictive alerts and fault trends to determine engineering actions.
  • Develop and manage proactive maintenance work packages and inspections.
  • Support fleet reliability improvement through trend analysis and preventive strategies.
  • Conduct technical investigations and root cause analyses of failures and disruptions.
  • Collaborate with support groups, planning, production, Maintrol, supply chain, and OEMs for timely actions.
  • Contribute to development and deployment of predictive maintenance tools and dashboards.
  • Provide recommendations to improve reliability and reduce disruption.
