Job summary

British Airways is seeking highly motivated Technical Engineers (TSG) to join the Fleet Technical Support Group at the Heathrow Engineering Base. You will support BA’s Mainline and Euroflyer fleets, with roles for B1/B2 license holders or engineers in technical support environments.

The role involves shift-based duties, exposure to A320s, A350s, A380s, B777s and B787s, and extensive professional development, including type training and internal career options.

Qualifications

• HNC / HND or equivalent in an Aerospace Engineering subject (essential)
• B1 / B2 Licence without Type rating (desirable)
• Engineering degree or educational equivalent and experience in Pt 21 or Pt M environments supporting Pt145 (desirable)
• Ability to hold CAA approvals or BA company approvals (desirable)
• Recognised Aircraft Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent experience (desirable)
• The ability to hold and exercise EASA Part 145 Technical Engineer / Part21 CCE or CVE approvals as required (essential)
• Good knowledge of safety and quality management systems (essential)
• Good technical knowledge of at least 2 BA fleet types (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Improve aircraft performance through proactive use of monitoring and prognostic tools, conduct defect analysis and safety reviews.
• Analyze and manage safety reports and repetitive defects.
• Provide on-site specialist technical support in line with safety, regulatory and commercial requirements.
• Source and provide approved maintenance data for safe maintenance, repair or modification of BA aircraft and components.
• Follow technical procedures to deliver targets in aircraft/engine/ component performance, and drive continuous improvement.
• Support business development and change initiatives in support of the business plan
• Lead technical discussions across departments and coordinate line station activity to minimise delays and AOG recovery
