Job summary

British Airways seeks a highly skilled Aerospace Engineer to manage safety, reliability, and cost of ownership of the BA fleet. You will oversee critical technical reviews, guide decisions, and shape policy while maintaining regulatory compliance.

You’ll build strong relationships with OEMs, MROs, and internal teams, acting as a trusted consultant on airworthiness and performance issues. This role drives major improvement programs and demands a proactive, collaborative approach.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of safety and quality management systems.
• Understanding of CAA Part M, Part 145 and Part 21.
• Experience with maintenance programmes and reliability tools.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve technical documentation to ensure safe, reliable operations.
• Lead cross-departmental technical discussions and informed decision making.
• Maintain technical standards, policy direction and regulatory alignment.
• Develop and manage OEM, MRO, and internal stakeholder relationships.
• Act as consultant on technical and airworthiness matters with suppliers and regulators.
• Deliver a portfolio of technically valuable projects and programmes.
