Job summary

CEVA Logistics is seeking a field-based Business Development Manager to drive new air and ocean freight business within the SME and mid-market space. You will build a robust pipeline, develop value propositions and collaborate with internal teams to deliver solutions, while growing existing accounts across the UK.

You will report to the Head of Business Development, travel nationally, and work in a hunter-led role to shape CEVA's growth in air and ocean freight.

Qualifications

• Significant knowledge and experience in air and ocean freight forwarding.
• Defined network of clients and contacts within logistics.
• Strong commercial and business acumen with negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify, target and win new air and ocean freight business through consultative sales.
• Build and manage a strong pipeline via strategic account planning.
• Develop compelling value propositions and negotiate with senior decision-makers.
• Drive RFQs and tenders from opportunity to implementation.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver customer solutions.
• Grow and retain existing book of business to maximise revenue.
• Maintain high activity levels and record in CRM systems.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities across the organisation.
