Job summary

CEVA Logistics is seeking a field-based Business Development Manager to lead growth in air and ocean freight sales. You will win new business and expand a portfolio of existing customers across the SME and mid‑market space, collaborating with operations and solutions teams to deliver long‑term partnerships.

You’ll report to the Head of Business Development, build a robust pipeline, and drive opportunities from RFQ through to implementation, while achieving high activity with CRM updates and

Qualifications

• Significant knowledge and experience in the Air and Ocean sector.
• Defined and developed network of clients and contacts.
• Strong commercial and business acumen.
• Natural negotiation, influencing and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation and relationship building skills.
• Self‑motivated, resilient and tenacious hunter mindset.
• Full UK driving license and willingness to travel nationally.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify, target and win new air and ocean freight business.
• Build and manage a strong pipeline through strategic account planning.
• Develop compelling value propositions and negotiate with senior decision makers.
• Drive RFQs and tender processes from opportunity to implementation.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver customer solutions.
• Grow and retain existing book of business for long‑term revenue.
• Maintain high activity levels and record activity in CRM.
• Identify cross‑selling opportunities across the organisation.
