Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions is seeking two skilled Air Conditioning Engineers to join our client’s facilities management team in the Newcastle upon Tyne area. You will maintain, service and troubleshoot VRV/VRF systems, chillers, and split units while covering mobile sites across Tyne and Wear, County Durham and Teesside.

Core hours are Monday to Friday (40 hours), with an on-call rota to be confirmed; benefits include a competitive salary, van and fuel card, 25 days leave plus holidays, a workplace

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Air Conditioning Engineer in the facilities management industry.
• Hold your F-Gas Cat 1 Regulations certification.
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair techniques.
• Familiarity with refrigeration principles and equipment.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, service and troubleshoot a variety of air conditioning systems, including split systems, VRV/VRF systems, and chillers.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning coils and replacing filters.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in air conditioning units to minimise downtime.
• Conduct inspections and assessments of HVAC systems to identify issues and propose solutions.
• Collaborate with maintenance personnel and contractors on complex repairs and system upgrades.
• Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations.

Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer - Newcastle Upon Tyne - HVAC Contractor: Commercial, Industrial & Public Sector

CBW Staffing Solutions are seeking two skilled Air Conditioning Engineers to join our client’s team of facilities management professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC maintenance and repair, responsible for maintaining and servicing air conditioning systems to ensure optimal performance and end-client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have experience of industrial cooling and commissioning VRV/VRF air handling units.

These are both mobile roles, covering Tyne & Wear, County Durham & Teesside areas.

• Competitive salary between £38,000 - £44,000 per annum (depending on experience)
