Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd is recruiting an experienced Mobile Air Conditioning Installation Engineer for Newcastle upon Tyne with travel nationwide. This permanent role offers 40 hours/week, door-to-door travel paid, and a competitive salary.

You will install various AC systems in commercial/industrial environments and travel as needed. Required NVQ/City & Guilds, F-Gas Cat 1, and a valid UK driving licence; experience with drawings and electrical controls is essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds in air conditioning/refrigeration.
• F-Gas Category 1 certification is required.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Experience installing AC systems in commercial/industrial settings.
• Strong electrical wiring and controls knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Install a range of air conditioning systems (split, VRF/VRV, ducted) in commercial/industrial sites.
• Interpret drawings, diagrams and specs to meet client needs.
• Ensure installations meet safety standards and regulations.
• Conduct site surveys and propose optimal designs.
• Communicate clearly with clients to support project delivery.
• Manage materials, tools and equipment for each job.
• Work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines.
• Troubleshoot installation issues and resolve promptly.

CBW Staffing Solutions are working with a leading specialist in the HVAC industry, providing high-quality air conditioning installation, service, and maintenance solutions to commercial and industrial clients. As their business continues to expand, we are seeking an experienced Air Conditioning Installation Engineer to join their team.

This is a permanent position, based in Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne & Wear - the successful candidate must be willing to work away from home and travel on a national basis.

Package

• Competitive salary between £39,000 - £43,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Responsibilities

• Installing a variety of air conditioning systems (split, multi-split, VRV/VRF, ducted, etc.) in commercial and industrial environments
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and specifications to ensure installations meet client requirements
• Completing installations to a high standard, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and safety protocols
• Carrying out site surveys and providing recommendations for optimal system designs
• Liaising with clients to ensure smooth project delivery and providing clear, professional communication throughout the installation process
• Managing materials, tools, and equipment required for each job
• Working both independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines
• Identifying and troubleshooting any issues during installations, ensuring quick and effective resolutions

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications, such as NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration or City & Guilds equivalent
• F-Gas certification (Category 1)
• A full UK driving licence
• Proven experience in installing a range of air conditioning systems in both commercial and industrial settings
• Strong understanding of electrical wiring and controls related to air conditioning installations
