Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd (Yorkshire) Limited is seeking an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to install, diagnose and service domestic and commercial air conditioning systems from our Northampton base. You will work independently and, when needed, lead and manage a small team, travelling to customer sites within about an hour of Northampton and ensuring work is performed safely to a high standard.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid F-Gas Category 1 certification.
• Experience installing, diagnosing, repairing and servicing air conditioning systems.
• Experience with both domestic and commercial air conditioning.
• Able to work independently and use own initiative.
• Experience and confidence to lead and manage a team.
• Hold a valid UK driving licence.
• Based within reasonable travelling distance of Northampton.

Responsibilities

• Install air conditioning systems in domestic and commercial properties.
• Diagnose faults and identify appropriate repairs.
• Carry out repairs, servicing and preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot air conditioning systems efficiently and professionally.
• Lead and manage other engineers as required.
• Ensure work is completed safely and to a high professional standard.
• Communicate professionally with customers and colleagues.
• Travel to customer sites, generally within approximately one hour of our Northampton base.
• Maintain and take appropriate care of the company vehicle, equipment and tools provided.

Air Conditioning Engineer

Salary: £36,000–£44,000 per annum, depending on experience

Location: Northampton – candidates should live within reasonable travelling distance of our head office
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm
Holiday: 20 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays

About the Role

Our Client is a friendly, family-run business based in Northampton and are looking for an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to join their team. They are seeking someone with strong technical experience who is confident working independently across both domestic and commercial air conditioning systems. The successful candidate will also need the experience and leadership skills to lead and manage a team when required.

• Install air conditioning systems in domestic and commercial properties

Essential Requirements

The successful candidate must:

• Hold a valid F-Gas Category 1 certification
• Have proven experience installing, diagnosing, repairing and servicing air conditioning systems
• Have experience with both domestic and commercial air conditioning
• Be capable of working independently and using their own initiative
• Have the experience and confidence to lead and manage a team
• Hold a valid UK driving licence
• Be based within reasonable travelling distance of Northampton

A driving licence with up to 3 penalty points is acceptable. As driving is an essential part of the position, maintaining a valid driving licence is a requirement of the role.
