Job summary

Marshall Recruitment is seeking an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to join our permanent team in Cambridge and surrounding areas. You will install, service, maintain and repair air conditioning and HVAC systems across commercial and domestic environments.

The role requires an experienced engineer, F-Gas qualification, and a full UK driving licence. You will work across various sites with opportunities for overtime and long-term career development within a well-established business.

Qualifications

• Experience as Air Conditioning Engineer.
• Fully F-Gas qualified.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, maintain and repair air conditioning systems.
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs.
• Work on split, multi-split, VRF/VRV and other HVAC systems.
• Carry out planned maintenance and reactive works.
• Commission systems and ensure efficiency.
• Complete service reports and documentation.
• Maintain safety and high workmanship standards.
• Build strong customer relationships and present professionally.
• Work independently and with site teams.

Air Conditioning Engineer - Permanent Position

Location: Cambridge and surrounding areas

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

Hours: Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime available

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Air Conditioning Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis, working across Cambridge and the surrounding areas.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking for a long-term position with a well-established business. You will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of air conditioning and associated HVAC systems across a range of commercial and domestic environments.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Installing, servicing, maintaining and repairing air conditioning systems
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs
• Working on a range of split, multi-split, VRF/VRV and other HVAC systems
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive works
• Commissioning systems and ensuring they are operating efficiently
• Identifying potential issues and recommending appropriate solutions
• Completing service reports, job sheets and relevant documentation
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
• Maintaining excellent customer relationships and representing the business professionally
• Working independently and alongside other engineers and site teams

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• An experienced Air Conditioning Engineer
• Confident working on installation, service and maintenance projects
• Fully F-Gas qualified
• Knowledgeable across a range of air conditioning and HVAC systems
• Able to diagnose faults and work independently
• Reliable, organised and professional
• Customer-focused with good communication skills
• Committed to high standards of workmanship and health and safety
• Comfortable working across different sites and environments
• In possession of a full UK driving licence

Additional qualifications such as NVQ Level 2/3, City & Guilds, or equivalent HVAC qualifications would be advantageous.
