Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd (Yorkshire) Limited are recruiting an Air Conditioning Engineer to join their Northampton-based team. You will install, diagnose, repair and service domestic and commercial air conditioning systems, and you may lead a small team on larger projects when required.

Salary ranges from £36,000 to £44,000 per year, depending on experience. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with 20 days’ annual leave plus 8 bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid F-Gas Category 1 certification.
• Proven experience installing, diagnosing, repairing and servicing air conditioning systems.
• Experience with both domestic and commercial air conditioning.
• Capable of working independently and using their own initiative.
• Have the experience and confidence to lead and manage a team.
• Hold a valid UK driving licence.
• Be based within reasonable travelling distance of Northampton.

Responsibilities

• Install air conditioning systems in domestic and commercial properties.
• Diagnose faults and identify appropriate repairs.
• Carry out repairs, servicing and preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot air conditioning systems efficiently and professionally.
• Lead and manage other engineers as required.
• Ensure work is completed safely and to a high professional standard.
• Communicate professionally with customers and colleagues.
• Travel to customer sites, generally within approximately one hour of our Northampton base.
• Maintain and take appropriate care of the company vehicle, equipment and tools provided.

About the Role

Our Client is a friendly, family-run business based in Northampton and are looking for an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to join their team. They are seeking someone with strong technical experience who is confident working independently across both domestic and commercial air conditioning systems. The successful candidate will also need the experience and leadership skills to lead and manage a team when required.

A driving licence with up to 3 penalty points is acceptable. As driving is an essential part of the position, maintaining a valid driving licence is a requirement of the role.
