Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced engineer to build and advance AI-enabled developer tooling within its engineering platform. You will own tooling around agent configurations, prompt libraries, evaluation frameworks and internal services, collaborating with an AI Architect on patterns and guardrails.

Based in the UK or Sweden, you will mentor teams, drive adoption metrics, extend tooling across departments, and help redefine the SDLC to harness AI responsibly.

Qualifications

• Proven, evidenced track record of building tools that engineers rely on.
• Strong software engineering background with 5+ years of experience.
• Ability to write production code in a modern stack.
• Practical AI/LLM experience and tooling adoption across teams.
• Translate tooling and practices for non-engineering audiences.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain AI-supported engineering tools and configurations.
• Collaborate with AI Architect to shape shared AI patterns, guardrails and tools.
• Roll out and configure coding agents across the engineering toolchain.
• Partner with Platform Engineering on model mix and access.
• Evaluate new models/tools and translate into engineering practices.
