Job summary

Swap in London is seeking a software engineer to help build cost observability and guardrails for agentic workflows. You will work across infrastructure and tooling to enable safe, productive AI-driven development.

You will own features end to end, review code, write tests, and establish best practices for CI/CD and AI usage across the business. The role rewards independent problem-solving and clear communication.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Ability to own and ship mid-sized features end to end.
• Experience with distributed data systems and measuring impact.
• Strong testing discipline and CI/CD improvements.
• Focus on solving problems over specific tech stacks.
• Clear written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Build cost observability and usage-tracking tooling across LLM and agent workloads.
• Design and ship internal tooling and guardrails for safe, productive agentic coding workflows.
• Evaluate new AI tools, models, and vendors; translate findings into build-vs-buy guidance.
• Write production-quality code and automated tests for owned platforms and tools.
• Review peers' code for correctness, readability, and maintainability.
• Own delivery of projects end to end, from scoping to production rollout.
• Establish and socialize best practices for AI usage across the business.
