Job summary

Wise is seeking an experienced software engineer to join Engineering Experience. You will own and operate agentic tooling used by over 1,200 engineers, and help set our technical direction.

You will run workshops, provide practical guidance, and lead adoption campaigns to ensure tools are used effectively. You will build an engineering knowledge base and MCP server to help engineers and AI agents access trusted internal context.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Java, Go or TypeScript; expert in at least one.
• Strong track record building and operating production software.
• Excellent software design judgement with clear interfaces and testability.
• Experience delivering real user stories with agentic tools.
• Passion for AI tooling and staying current with field changes.
• Experience leading large technical initiatives across teams.

Responsibilities

• Own and operate agentic tooling used by engineers across Wise.
• Build an engineering knowledge base accessible via an MCP server.
• Lead AI enablement through hands-on workshops and adoption campaigns.
• Build and operate products that remove friction across software development.
• Improve the developer portal and shared engineering services.
• Use research and data to identify problems and implement scalable solutions.
