Job summary

Jobtailor in London is seeking an experienced engineer to own end-to-end delivery of enterprise-grade solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate and Dataverse, with a strong focus on AI integration and security.

You will lead the design and implementation of AI agents, integrate MCP servers and Microsoft 365 services, mentor engineers, and uphold rigorous testing, CI/CD, observability and security standards across live services.

Qualifications

• Production solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse and Copilot Studio.
• Experience leading AI agents or agentic workflows using knowledge, tools and actions safely.
• Experience integrating MCP servers and tools, or equivalent agent integration patterns.
• Strong API/integration skills: REST/JSON, custom connectors, OAuth 2.0, Microsoft Entra ID, secrets management.
• Pro-code engineering in TypeScript/JavaScript, C# or Python with low-code extensions.
• Strong software engineering practices: testing, version control, code review, CI/CD, observability and live services.
• Ability to lead technical decisions for medium-to-high complexity work and manage security risks.
• Understanding of security, data protection, accessibility and responsible AI controls.
• Willing to undergo Security Clearance and Baseline Personnel Security Standard onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Work with users, product teams, engineers, architects, security and operations to turn complex needs into reliable services
• Take technical ownership of significant components and end-to-end solutions
• Guide decisions across low-code, pro-code, integration and AI patterns
• Design how AI agents use trusted knowledge, approved tools, MCP services, approvals, human hand-offs and safe failure paths
• Build evaluation, observability, identity, permissions and data boundaries into delivery
• Lead the design, build, test, deployment and support of solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Copilot Studio and pro-code extensions
• Engineer AI agents and agentic workflows
• Design and implement integrations with approved MCP servers and develop MCP tools or services
• Integrate solutions with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Microsoft Graph, Azure services and enterprise systems
• Apply grounding, retrieval-augmented generation, structured outputs, tool calling and model-selection patterns
• Create custom connectors, plug-ins and Azure-hosted components where low-code capability is insufficient
• Set and apply engineering standards for source control, solution packaging, environment strategy, automated testing, CI/CD, monitoring and release management
• Lead technical investigation of complex live-service faults and improve resilience, performance, accessibility and observability
• Review designs and code, mentor developers and contribute reusable components, patterns and learning to the wider engineering community
