Job summary

LexisNexis Risk Solutions is seeking an AI Software Engineer to expand AI capabilities across our tax-focused product ecosystem. You will contribute to AI-powered assistants, RAG, and structured outputs, with backend APIs and data workflows playing a central role.

You will collaborate with tax-domain experts to ensure accuracy, explainability and usefulness of AI outputs while delivering reliable product value.

Qualifications

• Experience as a software engineer or AI/ML engineer.
• Strong Python skills and backend/automation experience.
• Familiarity with LLM patterns (RAG, embeddings, vector search).
• Experience or interest in AI orchestration frameworks (Pydantic AI, LangChain, LangGraph).
• Ability to work with structured data to generate insights and decision support.
• Knowledge of evaluation, monitoring, testing, secure development and responsible AI.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve AI-powered product features (assistants, RAG, workflows).
• Develop AI components for data ingestion, retrieval, prompts, evaluation and monitoring.
• Collaborate with tax/domain experts to ensure outputs are accurate and useful.
• Support evaluation and quality improvements by analyzing model behavior and signals.
• Work with product, frontend and engineering teams to deliver usable AI features.
