Job summary

Bright is seeking an Application Technical Support Engineer to bridge Engineering and Customer Success, handling technical issues, data interrogation, and internal tooling. You will write SQL, troubleshoot complex problems, and communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Based in Belfast, you will collaborate across teams and explore AI tools to streamline workflows, while contributing to the ongoing AI investment that shapes product support processes.

Qualifications

• Two years of professional experience in technical/application support or similar hybrid role.
• Proficient in SQL—able to write and interpret queries independently.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; comfortable with ambiguity.
• Able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Right to live and work in the UK.
• Familiar with AI-assisted workflows is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical contact for Customer Success, translating between customer-facing and engineering teams.
• Debug and replicate customer-reported issues to identify root causes.
• Write SQL statements to pull data and build reports for internal and customer use.
• Document known issues, fixes, and workarounds for the wider team.
• Build and maintain internal tooling to support Customer Success workflows (e.g., Retool).
• Support integrations across platforms such as Vitally, Zapier, and Sentry.
• Improve testing processes to catch issues earlier in the cycle.
• Manage multiple tasks in parallel and deliver on time.
• Explore and embed AI tools into day-to-day support workflows.
