Job summary

AstraZeneca plc is seeking a Head of Enabling Units IT - AI First. This role can be based in the UK, US or Spain and leads technology strategy across Finance, HR, GBS, Legal & Compliance, and Corporate Communications to enable an AI-first operating model.

The leader will drive change, streamline the technology landscape, and own the SAP delivery and operations, delivering measurable value in cost, cycle time, risk, and capacity improvements across five functions.

Qualifications

• Track record leading enterprise technology for multiple functions (Finance, HR, GBS, Legal, Communications) across a large organisation.
• Proven experience leading AI/digital transformation with change management and capability-building.
• Ability to tie technology/AI investments to quantified business outcomes and simplify landscapes.
• Experience managing blended internal/outsourced teams and cross-functional executives; governance across leaders.

Responsibilities

• Define AI-first strategy and workforce sizing across five functions, with multi-year roadmap and budget.
• Set the AI-first operating model and lead change management for adoption of new ways of working.
• Anchor initiatives to quantified outcomes; drive business cases, financial forecasting, and portfolio planning.
