Job summary

AstraZeneca is seeking a Chief Enterprise Architect to shape the company’s technology future across cloud, data, AI and digital platforms. You will drive strategic architecture, guardrails and reusable patterns enabling autonomous teams to innovate safely at scale.

Lead AI/enterprise platforms, partner with global business and scientific leaders, and ensure security and regulatory compliance while delivering measurable value for patients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Significant senior technology leadership experience in a global, regulated organisation.
• Experience shaping technology strategy across cloud, data, AI, platforms and digital products.
• Proven ability to influence C-suite stakeholders and translate technology strategy into measurable business outcomes.
• Experience operating successfully in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Shape a modern, product- and platform-oriented technology architecture across AstraZeneca.
• Define enterprise technology strategy, principles and investment priorities; establish guardrails for teams.
• Lead AI and intelligent platforms strategy, creating reusable platforms and patterns; ensure security, compliance and value.
• Drive platform strategy and engineering to accelerate delivery, reduce duplication and improve developer experience.
• Lead digital transformation initiatives and ensure platforms support R&D, clinical, manufacturing, commercial and corporate needs.
• Embed security, privacy and regulatory compliance into design without slowing delivery.
• Build and lead a world‑class architecture community and develop engineering leaders.
