Job summary

AstraZeneca is seeking a Head of AI for IT to lead the execution of the AI-for-IT strategy across the global IT function. The role embeds AI into core IT practices, from project lifecycle to operations and cloud migration, and builds scalable agentic AI platforms with governance and guardrails.

You will drive adoption, establish roadmaps, and partner with Enterprise AI to accelerate value while ensuring security and compliance across regions.

Qualifications

• Recognised thought leadership in applied AI or AI-enabled IT transformation.
• Experience with agentic AI architecture and orchestration.
• Knowledge of token economics and enterprise AI platforms.
• Fluency in AI governance, security, compliance and observability.

Responsibilities

• Turn the AI-for-IT strategy into scalable, secure transformation across AstraZeneca IT.
• Define roadmaps, priorities and measurable outcomes for AI adoption.
• Lead AI-native IT practices, service management and proactive automation.
• Collaborate on token economics and governance standards.
