Job summary

The Citation Group is seeking an AI Architect to own the AI/Data architecture within the delivery area, reporting to the Chief AI Officer. You will shape patterns, guardrails and decision frameworks for production AI systems, ensuring cross‑functional alignment across Product, Engineering and Security.

Responsibilities include setting architectural standards, reviewing partner Statements of Work, guiding model selection, cost governance and security integration, and maintaining an authoritative

Qualifications

• Senior level with 6+ years in software, data, or platform engineering/architecture.
• Hands-on experience with production AI systems, not just pilots.
• Able to influence decisions through judgement and presence in the right conversations.

Responsibilities

• Architectural standards and patterns: own Citation's AI system designs.
• Model selection framework: open-weight vs closed models, workload-based decisions.
• Maintain decisions records; align standards to the five-layer AI platform architecture.
• Review partner Statements of Work before commitments are made.
• Token cost, observability, and cost-per-outcome governance across AI projects.
• Security and compliance involvement from the start for major initiatives.
• Provide production-quality guidance and governance for AI deployments.
