Job summary

The Citation Group is seeking an AI Architect to own the AI/Data architecture within the delivery area, reporting to the Chief AI Officer. You will establish patterns, guardrails, and a decision framework to govern model selection, data readiness and cost across projects.

You will work across Product, Engineering, Security and Compliance, guiding technical design from concept to production with a focus on security, observability and governance.

Qualifications

• Architectural standards and patterns for AI systems.
• Documented decision framework for model selection and routing decisions.
• Cost governance and tokenomics for AI solutions.
• Security involvement from the start in all AI initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Define architectural standards and patterns for AI systems, including retrieval/grounding, agent orchestration, prompt design, and routing logic.
• Maintain an up-to-date framework for choosing between closed frontier models and open-weight alternatives.
• Assess data readiness and governance across Salesforce, Atlas, Snowflake, and integration layers.
• Act as internal architectural counterpart to delivery partners, driving design reviews and contractual alignment.
• Own production quality, observability, drift detection, guardrails, and incident response for AI in production.
