Job summary

The Citation Group is expanding its AI capability by appointing an AI Architect to own AI/data architecture across the delivery area. The role reports to the Chief AI Officer and sits within the AI/Data architecture area, influencing decisions beyond a single team.

Candidates bring 6+ years in software, data, or platform engineering/architecture with hands-on experience in production AI systems. The role emphasizes governance, cost awareness, and security integration across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Senior-level candidate with 6+ years in software, data or platform engineering/architecture.
• Hands-on experience with production AI systems (not just pilots).
• Ability to influence architecture across multiple functions (Product, Engineering, Security, Infrastructure) in Citations AI delivery.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain architectural standards and patterns for AI systems.
• Own AI-specific architectures, decision frameworks, and governance across the five-layer AI platform.
• Assess third-party Statements of Work from an architectural perspective before commitments.
• Ensure token spend, cost-outcome tracking, and security are embedded in design decisions.
• Collaborate with Delivery, Security, and Compliance to ensure production-quality AI systems.
