Job summary

Junior Adventures Group is seeking an Early Years Lead for part-time hours in Watford. You’ll plan and deliver creative, age-appropriate activities, ensuring children’s wellbeing in a safe, playful environment. Engage with families and schools, inspire curiosity, and role-model safeguarding.

With Level 3 EY qualification, you’ll help our little ones grow, explore, and discover in a nurturing space while supporting your team to shine.

Qualifications

• Must hold Level 3 Early Years qualification.
• Experience delivering planned activities for young children.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for our youngest children.
• Plan, lead and deliver structured activities (storytelling, arts, sensory play, group games, outdoor adventures).
• Support children’s development and wellbeing with age-appropriate experiences.
• Model safeguarding practices and follow Health & Safety policies at all times.
• Provide healthy snacks and assist with toileting and hygiene routines.
• Set up and tidy play spaces, adapting environments for activities.
• Build positive relationships with parents, schools and your team.
• Promote best practice in early years and nurture a love for learning through play.
• Uphold confidentiality and high standards of child protection.
