Job summary

Junior Adventures Group UK is looking for an Early Years Lead to join a School-based setting in Catford. You will plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities for our youngest learners, while ensuring wellbeing and safeguarding in a safe, playful environment.

You will work 15 hours per week during term time, with a pay of up to £15 per hour. Level 3 Early Years qualification is essential; DBS and references are required as part of the process.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Early Years qualification required.
• Ability to lead Early Years activities with confidence.
• Provide two references and an Enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our youngest children.
• Plan, lead, and deliver fun, structured activities like storytelling, creative arts, sensory play, group games, and outdoor adventures.
• Support children’s development and wellbeing through engaging, age-appropriate experiences.
• Be a role model of safeguarding and follow Health & Safety policies.
• Provide healthy snacks, support toileting and hygiene routines, and ensure children feel safe and included.
• Set up and tidy play spaces, adapting environments for activities.
• Maintain accurate records (accident/incident forms, observations, registers).
• Build positive relationships with parents, schools, and the team.
• Promote early years best practice and nurture a love for learning through play.
• Uphold confidentiality and high standards of child protection.
