Job summary

Rubicon Recruitment Group is seeking a Mechanical Inspector in Poole to join a precision aerospace and marine parts producer. You will be responsible for dimensional and visual inspections at all stages, ensuring compliance with FAIR and NC processes and contributing to certificates of conformity.

You’ll collaborate with quality engineers and suppliers to resolve non-conformances and maintain high process control.

Qualifications

• Previous inspection experience in an aerospace precision workshop.
• Strong knowledge of FAIR and NCR processes.
• Familiarity with Net-Inspect and other quality systems (desirable).
• Experience with NADCAP or AS9100 quality standards (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Carrying out dimensional and visual inspection of precision components at every planned stage, including first off, FAIR, final, pre-treatment and goods in/out.
• Completing FAIRs and compiling and approving certificates of conformity in line with procedure.
• Raising, labelling and containing NCRs for non-conforming product, and communicating issues promptly to quality engineers and production.
• Working to customer quality processes and software such as Net-Inspect, and meeting customer approved inspection requirements such as DSQR.
• Raising purchase orders with subcontract suppliers, including surface treatment providers.
• Contributing to RCCA and 8D root cause meetings as required.
