Job summary

Rubicon Recruitment Agency is seeking a Mechanical Inspector in Poole to inspect precision components for aerospace and marine manufacturers, with up to £26 per hour. You will sign off parts from first off to final certificate and ensure compliance with quality processes.

Qualifications

• Previous inspection experience within an aerospace precision engineering workshop.
• Knowledge of FAIR and NCR processes.
• Experience with NADCAP or AS9100 quality standards (desirable).
• Familiarity with customer quality systems such as Net-Inspect (desirable).
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all inspection work.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out dimensional and visual inspection of precision components at every planned stage, including first off, FAIR, final, pre-treatment and goods in/out.
• Completing FAIRs and compiling and approving certificates of conformity in line with procedure.
• Raising, labelling and containing NCRs for non-conforming product, and communicating issues promptly to quality engineers and production.
• Working to customer quality processes and software such as Net-Inspect, and meeting customer approved inspection requirements such as DSQR.
• Raising purchase orders with subcontract suppliers, including surface treatment providers.
• Contributing to RCCA and 8D root cause meetings as required.
