Job summary

Safran Seats Ltd., part of the Safran group, is seeking a Configuration Manager to lead and maintain the CMS for aircraft seating programmes. You will oversee change control, data reporting, and governance to ensure compliance with group processes and regulatory standards.

The role requires CMII Level 6, CATIA V5/SmarTeam experience, and strong aviation industry knowledge. Based in Wales, the position offers extensive benefits and career development through Safran University.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Structural Engineering (or equivalent) with relevant design experience.
• CMII Level 6 certification or equivalent is required.
• Proficient with CATIA V5, SmarTeam, and PLM systems.
• Experience in Aerospace or Automotive industries and knowledge of DMU environments.
• Strong understanding of engineering release, change control, and approval processes.
• Proven ability to apply configuration management principles in complex engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continually improve CMS to meet regulatory and customer requirements.
• Own and optimise the engineering change control process and governance.
• Drive standardisation of configuration and engineering change practices.
• Produce CMS data and reports to support lifecycle requirements.
• Assess changes in business and industry requirements and implement improvements.
• Partner with Change and Programme Management to embed configuration control.
• Support Windchill PLM deployment and optimisation.
• Analyse CMS performance and drive efficiency gains.
