Job summary

Safran Seats in Cwmbran, Wales seeks a Configuration Manager to lead the CMS, govern product and project configurations, and optimise engineering change processes. You will ensure compliance with regulatory standards and group procedures while delivering robust data and reporting across programmes.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Structural Engineering, or HNC/HND with relevant experience.
• CMII Level 6 certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
• Proficient with CATIA V5, SmarTeam or other PLM systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain the Configuration Management System (CMS) for the SSGB programme.
• Own the engineering change control process with clear responsibilities and effective Change Control Boards (CCBs).
• Drive standardisation of configuration and change practices in line with group processes and best practice.
• Produce and maintain CMS data and reports to support lifecycle requirements.
• Assess changes in business and customer requirements and implement improvements to CMS processes.
• Collaborate with Change and Programme Management teams to embed configuration control throughout delivery.
• Support Windchill PLM deployment and optimisation.
• Analyse CMS performance and drive efficiency improvements.
