Job summary

Safran Seats in Wales seeks a Configuration Manager to lead the CMS, ensuring governance of product and programme configurations through their lifecycle. You will align CMS with QMS, IS, and regulatory standards, guiding change control with cross-functional teams.

The role requires CMII Level 6, PLM tool experience (Windchill, CATIA V5, SmarTeam), and aerospace/automotive background. Join a team delivering world-class seating solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Structural Eng or HNC/HND.
• CMII Level 6 certified; strong CM principles.
• Proficient in CATIA V5, SmarTeam, or other PLM systems.
• Experience in Aerospace or Automotive industries; knowledge of DMU environments.
• Familiarity with Boeing and Airbus specifications and requirements.
• Strong understanding of engineering release, change control, and approval processes.
• Proven ability to apply CM principles within complex programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve the CMS across the lifecycle.
• Own and optimise the engineering change control process and governance.
• Drive standardisation of configuration and change practices with group processes.
• Produce and maintain CM data and reports for programmes.
• Assess changes in requirements and implement CM process improvements.
• Collaborate with Change and Programme Management teams.
• Support Windchill PLM deployment and optimisation.
• Analyse CMS performance and drive efficiency improvements.
